This offset lithograph poster publicized an event at which leading women in the South African struggle were honored at the launch of Western Cape Region of FEDSAW. The Federation of South African Women was launched nationally on April 17, 1954. Many women who organized FEDSAW were trade unionists, teachers, and nurses.
