Demonstration against the Suppression of Communism Bill

A crowd of about 500 Coloured men and women march in front of the Houses of Parliament with signs to protest the Suppression of Communism Bill. The crowd was orderly, chanting "We want freedom," but police baton charged them, and seven protesters were taken away by ambulances.
