This offset litho poster of the Metal Box Support Committee called upon fellow working people in townships and rural areas to boycott products of Metal Box. The management of Metal Box retrenched 22 black workers and after a week hired three white workers. On October 22, 1985, workers went on strike demanding the dismissal of the three workers and that workers should be hired from the retrenched ones. On November 11, Metal Box dismissed the whole workforce of 500 people.
