Ruth Noel Robb, Eulalie Scott, and Lettie Malindi discuss how Black Sash members often went to witness police repression of Africans, such as arresting in the township in the middle of the night, so police actions were undeniable.
Eulalie Scott became politically active after World War II, joining the Women’s Defense of the Constitution League (which became the Black Sash). She was national president of the Black Sash for two years. A member of the Liberal Party, she later served on the Cape Town City Council and its housing committee. (Wearing blue and white striped dress.) Ruth Noel Robb was a member of the International Defence and Aid Fund as well as a member of the Black Sash who worked in the Advice Office.
